Is the book of Genesis just a religious work filled with theological messaging, meant only to be a metaphor? Or is Genesis a perfect picture of our world as created by God? These questions are being debated and causing divisions among those who call themselves Christians. It is here our conference will seek truth, examining science verses the words of scripture.
The ancients had a far different view of our world then we have today. They believed we lived under a dome on a flat plane, which was fixed and immovable. Then only 500 years ago, humanity was introduced to the idea of Heliocentricity and the Copernican principle. These ideas are drive by the men of science allegedly studying Cosmology. Heliocentric thought has led to the theory of evolution, the big bang, and panspermia. All of these studies have at their root, scientism. We will ask the question, what is the difference between real science and scientism? This is an important question as we battle for the foundations of humanity.
Our sun is said to be an average size star in a universe with billions of stars just like it, all hurling through space and time over billions of years. Science tells us we live in an ever-expanding universe on a remote planet, in a remote galaxy, on the edge of the Milky Way. This place we call home, is said to have happened by chance. Is this supposition true? Or is the book of Genesis telling us something different? We will ask these questions and many more at this year’s conference.
